Product is good and installation was done well. They also followed up promptly to address concerns. My one complaint is that the installation was delayed and I wasn’t notified in a timely manner.

Andy was very easy to work with. He and his crew were thorough, neat and turn around time was quick. He answered any questions we had, and helped to find the right windows to replace our old windows. The first cold and windy day after they were installed, I checked to be sure there was no cold air leaking into our home.

Replaced a slab ding door. Made clear what to expect, and timeline. Installed earlier than timeline. Install crew was polite, fast and patient with my questions. Price was best of four estimates and I went with them as a couple friends highly recommended. Will absolutely return for any future window needs.

Presentation was great no high pressure to buy the windows. The windows were installed by people that answered your questions and explain what they were doing. We had a thunderstorm shortly after they were installed and had no air come through. I would highly recommend this company and their windows.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Full-frame replacement removes the entire existing window sashes, frame, and interior and exterior trim down to the bare rough opening. That lets us inspect the framing for hidden rot or water damage, repair anything we find, and install a completely new window system with fresh flashing and insulation.

When the existing frame can’t be trusted to hold a new window: visible rot, soft or spongy wood, water staining on the interior sill, or an opening that’s gone badly out of square. It’s also the only option if you want to change a window’s size or shape. If your frames are sound, an insert is better value.

Press firmly on the wood sill and the lower corners with a screwdriver handle or your thumb. Healthy wood is hard; rotted wood gives, feels spongy, or crumbles. Dark staining, peeling paint that keeps returning, and a musty smell near the window are supporting signs. Corners fail first, so check those closely.

Yes, typically 20 to 40 percent more per opening, because it’s more labour and includes new interior and exterior trim. But when frames are rotted, it isn’t really a choice — installing a new window into a failing frame traps the problem behind fresh vinyl.

New interior casing is part of a full-frame job, and we match the profile to the rest of your room as closely as available stock allows. We install it primed and ready for paint. Most homeowners paint it themselves to match existing woodwork.

Yes, one of the main reasons people choose full-frame. We can enlarge an opening for more light, reduce one for privacy, or swap a flat picture window for a bay or bow. Anything structural means adjusting the header, so we assess load-bearing walls during the estimate.

Roughly two to four hours per opening, compared with about an hour for an insert. A typical ten-to-fifteen-window project runs two to four days. We work opening by opening and close each one up before moving on.
